“Violence is a symptom and effect of underlying behaviors typically stemming
from lack of Life Skills and Personal Development education”, says Hal Tipper, President of YesTV Communications. “We are proud to be selected and associated with the STV / Face The Music organization to
produce and deliver these important life changing programs”. The research and studies in this area are conclusive that these types of Life-Skill programs are some of the most
important core competencies that ultimately determine balance, success and happiness in life. Through the “Life-Skills Literacy Project”, we are addressing what we believe to be
major causes and roots of the problem of violence in society. Our Life-Skills Literacy Project objectives and goals are:
1. Empowering individuals as pro-active contributing members of society. 2. Improving the mental, emotional and physical health, well-being and abilities of persons actively
seeking such improvement. 3. Promoting an understanding of the value of such self-improvement and of the long-term benefits to self, family, local community and global society.
4. Providing easy access to the core material at no cost to the individual. 5. Personal and Global Peace
To achieve these goals, we will be creating and /or delivering programs in
the following proven key areas of Life-Skills and Personal Development: Establishing Core Values and Purpose, Goal Setting, Time Management, Effective Communication Skills, Conflict Resolution, Leadership Principles,
Motivation and Self-Awareness, Understanding Relationships and Emotions, Empathy, Financial Literacy and Computer Literacy.
This will not just be information that entertains or
informs, but education that offers a measurable long term benefit to society by providing tools for positive change that will allow students of these programs to be more empowered, effective and functional contributing members of society.
